Jerry Munger (Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department) advises personnel to avoid parking response vehicles on dry grasses or vegetation surrounding the pipeline release area and along the Chugwater Creek and Laramie River corridors. He warns that the combination of hot equipment and cured vegetation presents a significant ignition hazard and recommends immediate reinforcement of safe parking and staging practices.
