HFSM’s Staging Area Manager reports that a 21,000-gallon frac tank at the Staging Area is leaking from a 4-inch outlet flange. Personnel on-scene are tightening the valve, but several gallons of oil/water mixture have already been released onto the neighboring soil. A drip pan has been placed under the leak, but it’s already overtopped. Workers speculate that either the flange became loose during delivery - or the afternoon heat expanded the metal. This is a Drill!
