Captain William Kirlin (Platte County Sheriff’s Office) reports that he intercepted a Denver7 news van attempting to pass through the Grayrocks Road checkpoint. The crew was denied entry in accordance with current access restrictions. Upon being turned away, the reporter (identified as Lauren Lennon) expressed frustration regarding what she described as a lack of transparency and the inability to obtain timely updates on the ongoing oil spill response. The crew departed the checkpoint but remained visibly dissatisfied. This is a Drill!
