CHEYENNE RESPONSE ZONE WCD TTX
The Cheyenne Response Zone Worst Case Discharge (WCD) Tabletop Exercise (TTX) on Thursday, August 13th, 2026, serves as an opportunity for HF Sinclair Midstream (HFSM) to evaluate emergency response plans, policies, and procedures in response to a simulated pollution event.
This functional exercise, conducted under the National Preparedness for Response Exercise Program (NPREP), is designed to appraise response preparedness, specifically focusing upon command and control, public/environmental protection, and the integration of assets necessary to respond to an oil spill. A particular emphasis will be placed upon activities during the “proactive phase” of the response, including establishment of Unified Command (UC), Planning “P” meeting facilitation, and Incident Action Plan (IAP) preparation. Use of the IAP Software and Initial Response mobile app will be highlighted.
The exercise will also feature the deployment of oil spill response resources in coordination with the scenario.
The exercise will be complemented by ICS section-specific training on Wednesday, August 12th.
