Sheriff Anthony Krotz (Platte County Sheriff’s Office) requests all arriving response traffic (vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment haulers, vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, etc.) follow designated routing to minimize public impact. He requests HFSM develop and publish preferred travel routes between the Incident Command Post (ICP), Staging Area, pipeline leak site, and assigned worksites. Routes should deliberately avoid populated areas, including Downtown Wheatland, and must not pass schools, hospitals, assisted‑living facilities, or other sensitive community locations. Sheriff Krotz further directs that all incident-related vehicles use Exit 80 off Interstate 25 (not Exit 78) to reduce congestion and maintain safer separation from residential zones. This is a Drill!
