WILDLIFE REHABILITATORS

Anticipating significant wildlife impacts along Chugwater Creek and the Laramie River, Cheyenne Stewart (Wildlife Management Coordinator with the Wyoming Game & Fish Department) briefs Unified Command on available regional wildlife response capacity.  Ms. Stewart provides a multi‑state roster of licensed wildlife rehabilitators in Wyoming, Colorado, and Nebraska and advises that HFSM should leverage these organizations to augment field operations.  She recommends early coordination to secure support for wildlife capture, triage, transport, and rehabilitation, ensuring adequate surge capability as spill impacts expand downstream.  This is a Drill!
