Tony Paolillo (Platte County Fair Board President) expresses concern about the scale of response operations occurring at the Platte County Fairgrounds, which the Unified Command (UC) selected as the primary staging area. Mr. Paolillo indicates they were not formally notified prior to the arrival of vehicles, heavy equipment, and supply trailers. As such, the Board requests: (a) a formal request for facility use, including duration and footprint; (b) a point-of-contact for damage claims and reimbursement; and (c) confirmation that fueling operations will not occur within 200 feet of any structure. Until these conditions are met, Mr. Paolillo states they may limit or suspend access to portions of the fairgrounds. He emphasizes they are willing to support the response, but need proper coordination and documentation. This is a Drill!
